Aruba is a tropical paradise that’s perfect for a fun and relaxing getaway. We’ve been here twice and so far, it’s our favorite island. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, relaxation and convenience, you’re in the right place.
Here’s our list of top 5 activities to do in Aruba that could work for any kind of traveler.
1. Sail and Snorkel on a Jolly Pirate Ship Adventure
Imagine stepping aboard a real pirate ship and sailing through Aruba’s turquoise waters. This 4 hour adventure, offered on Viator at a great price, is as exciting as it sounds. We sailed along the coast, stopping at some incredible snorkeling spots where I saw the most beautiful coral reefs and colorful fish. The rope swing is so much fun and added a playful touch that made the trip even more memorable. With a cocktail in hand but not while swinging from the rope, (yes, they have an open bar) and the sun shining down, it was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
Also, this half-day trip is perfect for kids!

2. Relax on Eagle Beach
Eagle Beach is like something out of a postcard. The sand is so white and the water so clear, we’ve could have stayed there all day but I forgot to bring sunscreen so not such a good idea.
It’s a great spot for swimming due to the calm waters, sunbathing, and people watching especially if you get to witness a wedding! There are beach bars and restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab a delicious bite or a refreshing drink without going too far. You are allowed to have drinks on the beach but please, don’t forget to hydrate and don’t get too intoxicated!
For those looking for a bit more action, there’s jet skiing and paddle boarding available. Trust me, you won’t want to miss spending some time here especially if you want to avoid fellow tourists. Although, if you are more into the tourist scene, Palm Beach may be more your speed.

3. Explore Arikok National Park
If you’re up for some exploring, Arikok National Park is a must-see. Covering nearly 20% of the island, it’s full of rugged landscapes, hidden caves, and ancient rock formations.
Take a guided tour to learn about the park’s unique flora and fauna, or explore on your own for a more immersive experience. Don’t miss the chance to visit the natural pool, “Conchi,” a secluded swimming hole surrounded by volcanic rock. The park’s well-marked trails make it easy to navigate, ensuring a safe and enjoyable adventure.
Viator, our favorite site to book excursions, has a horseback riding tour to the natural pools so you may want to check it out!

4. Experience Local Culture in Oranjestad
Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba, is bursting with culture and history. Walking through the colorful streets lined with Dutch colonial buildings was such a delight. We loved visiting the local shops for unique souvenirs and checking out the museums like the Aruba Historical Museum. The food was amazing, too – make sure to try some traditional Aruban dishes at one of the local restaurants. The lively atmosphere and rich cultural heritage make Oranjestad a must-visit.
5. casino fun in aruba
Aruba’s casinos add a touch of excitement and glamour to the island’s vibrant nightlife. Whether you’re a seasoned gambler or just looking for some evening fun, Aruba’s casinos offer a variety of gaming options, from slot machines to table games like blackjack, poker, and roulette. One of our favorite spots is the Stellaris Casino at the Marriott Resort located on Palm Beach, where the energy is contagious and the drinks are always flowing. It’s the perfect place to try your luck and enjoy a glamorous night out in Aruba and also happens to be the largest casino on the island. We won a little but then lost it!
Aruba is one of our favorite places to visit, and it’s the perfect destination for women travelers who crave both adventure and convenience. We also think its a good place to bring kids because of the wide variety of things to do.
From sailing on a pirate ship and exploring natural wonders to soaking up the local culture and unwinding on the beach, there’s something for everyone. So pack your bags, grab your sunscreen, and get ready for an island adventure you’ll never forget!
